High School Musical Overview
Disney’s High School Musical focuses on six main characters, Troy, Gabriella, Sharpay, Chad, Ryan, and Taylor in a high school setting.  The uniqueness of each character creates an enjoyable plot for young viewers to watch and the movie is rather true to reality as it focuses on how kids start to discover their true selves as they grow up.  This movie also relates to the notion of how parents would eventually wholeheartedly support their child’s interest so long as it is justified and brings to their kid great joy and satisfaction.  Catchy songs like “Start of Something New” and “When There Was Me & You” highlight the movie from time to time and they simply make the viewers want to sing-a-long as well.  With a mix of immensely appealing cast and some toe-tapping tunes, High School Musical is a definite hit not to be missed!
 

High School Musical 1

High School Musical 1 tells the story of Troy Bolton, East High’s star basketball player and Gabriella Montez, a brilliant but shy new transfer at school. During the winter vacation, Troy meets Gabriella for the first time during a New Year party and both are impressed by the other’s good vocals through a chance duet they were forced to perform. However, Gabriella is shy around the confident Troy and sneaks off before he can learn that she has just been transferred to East High and will soon be his schoolmate!

Upon school semester starts, Troy’s dad who also happens to be the basketball coach of East High intensely prepares his players in due of an impending championship game while Gabriella, being a new student at East High, is eager to make a fresh start by shedding her math genius reputation in hope of blending in. An upcoming winter musical performance brings the little couple together when the confident Troy decides to help the shy Gabriella audition for the lead role by being her partner. Seeing this, the school’s various cliques try ways and means to separate the pair so as to keep them within their “real” social circles and prevent them from performing together on stage. Will Gabriella and Troy succumb to the status quo or will they defy expectations to pursue their own dreams? Packed with laughter, memorable songs and spectacular chorography, High School Musical is a sure hit with young viewers.

School’s out for the summer and Troy is offered a job at a posh country club which is run by Sharpay’s father. What he doesn’t know is that his new job is part of Sharpay’s master plan to lure him away from Gabriella. Unknown to Sharpay, Troy manages to land a lifeguard position at the same country club for Gabriella as well as other jobs for Chad, Taylor and the rest of his Wildcat teammates. With the club’s Midsummer Night’s Talent Show approaching, Sharpay is determined to win again the event she has dominated for the last six years. Thinking that getting Troy to perform with her will clinch the win, Sharpay dumps Ryan as her partner and schemes to separate Troy from Gabriella. Will love win in the end? Entire cast from High School Musical 1 returns for this 2nd movie which follows the cast from East High to Lakeside Country Club for the summer.
